Carriers have agreement with Off-docks for placement of Containers & Stuffing.

Private ICDs/CFSs/Off-docks perform three main functions

• Handling of import containers of selected items (selected 37 low duty import items).
• Handling of all export containers.
• Storing and handling of empty containers.

Import items eligible to be cleare

through private ICDs/Off-docks

• 68 items of Import Cargo are allowed by
  Customs to be un-stuffed in these Off-docks.
• LCL imports are not allowed in these Off-docks.

Export formalities: Customs officials stationed at the private ICDs supervise the stuffing of

export goods into containers, and where necessary, conduct physical examination.

Assessment is done at Chittagong Custom House. After completing Stuffing & sealing in

presence of Customs, Off-docks send the export container by their Trailers to Port Terminal to

load on a feeder vessel.
